I was raised in Apple Valley, CA, and the Joshua Tree has always fascinated me. I hope I got my biological information correct! Does it really have those deep roots with the bulbs on the bottom?
If you are looking for some fresh perspectives on Christian spirituality, I’d like to recommend a couple books to you: Blue Like Jazz and Velvet Elvis. Check them out, and they might speak to you. Although, of course, I always recommend people get into the Bible first. For the fastest paced perspective on Jesus, you can’t beat the gospel of Mark, and for depth of insight, you can’t beat the gospel of John.
